I signed up for paketel today. Seems to be a very good and fast service. Can't beat the $3.95 for UNLIMITED fax receives. I probably get 1000 pages a month. This is a very good deal. Of course, I have to have my local fax line forwarded to their New York number, but that's ok.

Hi Andy, the email fax system does not have a lot of requirement. All you need is a valid email and Adobe Reader on your computer. I'm sure that most computers have Adobe Reader, so it should be fine. You can check with your fax provider to see what format they will send the fax to you.

What is the normal resolution of the fax when it sends in PDF or TIF? Is there a way to increase the resolution of the fax when it sends?

Hi Todd,

If you have an HP-All-In-One fax machine, you need to disable the ECM (Error Correction Mode) in the machine in order for it to function correctly.

I don't know how Packetel can afford $3.95 a month for UNLIMITED receiving, but they deliver their promise. I receive over a 1000 faxes a month and I have no issue whatsoever.
